Although there are numerous centers who claim to be focused on men's health issues, most employ general practitioners or other medical specialties to treat reproductive issues in men such as erectile dysfunction. At the Men's Wellness Clinic, however, you are seen and treated by a Board-Certified Urologist whose medical training has been specialized to deal with diseases of the male urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. One of our specialties, is succeeding where other health care providers have failed.
• Erectile Dysfunction
• Testosterone Replacement Therapy
• Vasectomy

• Prostate Disease
1. What do I need to bring with me to my first appointment?
A:
Please be sure to bring a photo Id (preferrably a state driver’s license) as well as your insurance card(s). The photo Id is required to verify that you are the person on the insurance card. This is done as a protection for you against insurance fraud.
Additionally, If you have recently had any lab work or xrays done relevant to your appointment with us, please bring those as well. This will avoid costly repitition of tests that you may have already had done as well as aid our physicians in treating your condition more speedily. If your insurance requires a written referral from your family physician, please bring that as well.
2. Why do I need a yearly appointment if I’m not having any problems?
A:
Your physician will request return appointments based on your urological health status. Yearly exams provide your physician with the opportunity to keep your medical record current (i.e. demographics, medications, allergies, surgeries, social history, etc.) and perform a follow up urologic exam (which may discover a disease process in the early stages even before you have symptoms).
3. When should I see my physician for a PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) test?
A:
PSA and digital rectal exam of the prostate should begin at age 50. In high-risk groups, such as African Americans, men with a family history (i.e. father, grandfather, brother) should begin screening at age 40 or sooner. Check with your physician to determine what is best for you.
“Excellent care and professionalism resolved my issue within a short period of time. I would recommend Dr. Sherman to anyone!"
